The Pulpit Commentary on Psalms 57:5

The Pulpit Commentary · Joseph S. Exell and contributors · Public domain

Be thou exalted, O God, above the heavens; or, exalt thyself, O God, above the heavens; i.e. show forth thy might in such a signal way that the heavens (i.e. the angels) may stand to gaze at it. Let thy glory be above all the earth.

Let thy exaltation equally draw the attention of the whole earth.
