Let thy priests be clothed with righteousness. In 2 Chronicles the expression used is "with salvation"—salvation being the effect, whereof "righteousness" is the cause. And let thy saints shout for joy.

2 Chronicles has, "rejoice in goodness," i.e. rejoice in God's goodness to them. There is no other sufficient reason for great joy.
