devotionProverbs 11:24GenerosityHoarding

The Dead Sea

In the Kingdom, what you keep, you lose. What you give, you gain. Don't be the Dead Sea. Be a river.

"There is one who scatters, yet increases more; And there is one who withholds more than is right, But it leads to poverty." () In Israel, there are two major bodies of water fed by the Jordan River.

The Sea of Galilee: It is full of fish, life, and greenery. Why? Because water flows in from the north and flows out to the south. It is a conduit. The Dead Sea: It is stagnant, salty, and lifeless. Nothing can live there.

Why? Because water flows in , but nothing flows out . It sits at the lowest point on earth. It hoards every drop. This is how Greed works in your soul. We think, "If I keep more, I will have more." Kingdom logic is the opposite: "If I keep more, I die."

God designed His blessings to be a river, not a reservoir. He gives resources through you, not just to you. If you stop the outflow (generosity), the water within you turns toxic. You become anxious, possessive, and spiritually dead.

The only cure for a stagnant heart is to open the floodgates of giving.

Digging Deeper

This is the Law of Circulation . In 2 Corinthians 9, Paul describes money as "Seed." A farmer who keeps his seed in the barn is a fool. The seed is only powerful when it leaves his hand and enters the ground.

Hoarding is an act of atheism. It says, "God provided for me yesterday, but I'm not sure He will provide tomorrow, so I better keep this." Generosity is an act of faith. It says, "The Source is infinite.

I can let this go because there is more where that came from." Reflect on this: Look at your finances. Are you a River or a Swamp? Does money only come in? God rarely pours fresh water into a clogged pipe.

If you want God to entrust you with more, you must prove you are a reliable delivery system, not a storage unit. 👣 Take a Step Action: Unclog the Pipe. Increase your "Outflow" percentage this month by 1%.

If you give 10%, move to 11%. Train your heart to let go. The pain you feel when giving is just the "spiritual rust" breaking off.
