devotionMatthew 25:21THE LONG OBEDIENCE

The Welcome Home

At the end of your life, only two words will matter: 'Well Done.' Not 'Well Said,' not 'Well Planned.' Live for the applause of nail-scarred hands. The finish line is coming. Finish strong.

"His master replied, 'Well done, good and faithful servant! Come and share your master’s happiness!'" () Imagine the moment you cross the finish line of life. You take your last breath on earth and your first breath in heaven.

The noise of the world fades—the politics, the bills, the stress, the social media notifications. All gone. You stand before Jesus . He doesn't ask you: "How much money did you make?" He doesn't ask: "How famous were you?"

He looks at your scars. He looks at your heart. He looks at the people you loved. And He smiles. He opens His arms and says the only words that will ever matter: "Well Done." That moment is what this entire journey is for.

Every time you forgave someone who didn't deserve it... you were investing in that moment. Every time you gave money in secret... you were investing in that moment. Every time you kept the faith when it hurt...

you were preparing for that smile. Discipleship is hard. The road is narrow. The cross is heavy. But the Welcome Home is worth it.

Digging Deeper

The word Faithful is the key. He doesn't say "Well done, Successful servant." He doesn't say "Well done, Famous servant." He says "Faithful." Faithfulness is showing up. It is keeping your word. It is loving God when no one is clapping.

You don't have to be a superstar to get the "Well Done." You just have to be faithful with what He gave you. Reflect on this: This is the end of our 40-topic journey. But it is just the beginning of yours.

The map has been laid out. The shoes are on your feet. The Spirit is in your heart. Run the race. Fight the fight. Keep the faith. We will see you at the Finish Line. 👣 Take a Step Action: The Vow. Find a quiet place.

Tell Jesus: "I am in this for the long haul. I'm not turning back. I will run until I see Your face. Help me be faithful."
